What timing! There is something about this picture that makes me uncomfortable, somewhat like an absurdist play, but it is interesting because of this. Perhaps it is the spikeyness and unusualness of the plant contrasted with the soft curtains and country-style windows in the background that makes something seem out of place, simultaneously real but unreal, or placidly whimsical. You accented the contrast with a sharper focus on the flower and a more blurry background.
I really like how the lines make such a difference. It seems like it’s supposed to be a really relaxing picture, but the composition makes me tense. But that’s what makes me like it.
cant get enough of the smaller plant beside the green one. color balance of the red and green is terrific. the only thing i could have hoped for was a closer image of the individual flowers of this plant, besides that the balance of all the individual pieces is what makes this picture worth looking at
