Assignment 101 – Nicole Wun

I chose this photograph mainly for the shadows and texture it provided. In this image, I first added levels and made a sharper contrast between the dark and the light. I then added a ‘vibrance’ layer which brought out the green tone in the bark that could not be seen in the original image. This allowed the picture to have more color and become more alive.

  1. I like how you change the color of the original image. The colors in the original image does looks black and white to me and gives the impression of nothing special or significant. However, you brighten the colors with the vibrancy. This gave he image “life” and basically colors. The rock becomes alive.
