Eric Chien Exercise 101 – Global High Line Craze

This is a useful article about big trends occurring in the landscaping field, and why they work and fail to provide green space for cities. Issues of gentrification and hyper-expensive property values prevent many of these designs from passing conception stages. Some designers have overly designed the space to the point there isn't much green at all, damaging the surrounding land, or designing spaces that overwhelm the residents with tourism. Overall, the focus of the article is the push for adaptation of city land use.
