Exercise 1.1
DETAIL
Your Face.
I’m not sure if I should call the owner of Your Face a graphic Designer, or and architect. Well maybe not architect but an illustrator indeed. Basically, what he does is he turns actual photos of real people into drawings with an unique twist. Seriously, this is why better than the cartoon yourself booth at the fair or theme park because it’s much more than a cartoon. its an Illustration.
Exercise 1.1, Part 2
BLOG TITLE:
A Daily Dose of Architecture
BLOG SUBJECT MATTER:
(Almost) daily architectural musings and imagery
Since I am not too familiar with many architecture blogs, I came across this blog after googling “best architecture blogs”. At first glance, this blog stood out to me as a straight forward ‘daily dose of architecture’. The title explains what the blog is all about, and doesn’t get too fancy or abstract, which I like. The content is equally satisfying, giving any young designer a daily does of architecture that is both inspiring and comprehensible. The blog also contained a hefty list of links that I also found worth while. The web address to this blog is as follows: http://archidose.blogspot.com/
Architectural Design Blog
Designblog.org allows inventors post or introduce their wildest technological ideas on the website to share from different parts of the world. For example, a device that is worn like a wristband can actually also function as an MP3 or allow WiFi internet access. The blog has a variety of “impossible-to-possible” designs varying from vintage bikes to lamps composed of hundreds of straws. Users can easily expose their creativity through the blog.
Architecture Blog – Archinect
Blog: Archinect
This architecture blog gives out many different information relates to architecture. Except telling news of new buildings or architects, it also recommands us great books and links to look at. Under the category of “job”, it shows us the opening position inside and outside United States. I personally like the gallery part the best best all those images inspire me alot and everytime I see those high quality photos, they make me want to read more and more. I think these images can really help young desigers not only to inspire them but also give more passion on architecture to the readers.
