Assignment #1 Kathryn Baldree

With this photo I used photoshop to alter the following aspects:

- I first adjusted the Levels bringing in both the light and the dark.

- I then adjusted the contrast and brightness, allowing the image to become sharper.

- Next I adjusted the curves, giving the picture more strength in its darks and lights.

- Finally I adjusted the color using the Channel Mixer, giving the picture a higher color and bringing out the color of the barrel in comparison to the stone wall.

This photo is of a lock found on an old water shed located on an empty lot behind my house. The settings were iso at 100, Fstop at f/4, and exposure at 1/100 sec. Using Photoshop, I used the channel mixer to make the colors stand out and used curves to enhance the blacks and whites. Hope you like it.

To sum it up, it’s a site for the creative mind. The site offers international archtiecture, digital design and other art media, technology, rising trends, etc. Another thing I should point out about this website, but not only can you browse this website, but you can also submit links that you stumble upon and think are interesting. It’s a really interesting website, and not to mention helpful, for those who have a creative block.

Hello my name is Erika Urquiaga, looking forward to learn and expand my knowledge in graphics by using different software like Aperture, sketchup, indesign, etc and at the end to have a nice portfolio :o )

This is one of the most amazing and illustrated magazine that I ever check in the web and read on a hard copy, besides the adds on the right hand side and the subscription on the bottom this magazine will show you houses and places that you don’t even have a clue that ever exist or been design, it has a section that has different videos which you can see and hear the interviews to the most famous architect and interior designers in the world, I recommend you to give it a look if you didn’t have the chance yet. http://www.architecturaldigest.com/

Working with photos (Part 1)

A day journeying out through the DVC campus. Inception for developing a workflow for post processing and organizing my captured images. I have a choice to work with either Google’s Picasa (free) or with Adobe Photoshop Express (free) to complete this lab exercise.
