“Working with Layers”
- To create a new layer, click on the new layer icon at the bottom of the layers window. You can give it a name by double clicking the layer name which will bring up the Layer Options dialog box.

- You can also set the color of a given layer using the Layer Options dialog box and double clicking the color swatch or by selecting a predefined color from the color list.
- To show or hide all of the objects on a layer, simply click on the eye next to the layer name (shown below as a red rectangle). To lock a layer, click in the box next to the eye (a padlock will appear).
- To move objects from one layer to another, select the object and drag the small square representing the object in the layer window (shown below as a red circle) to a different layer.
