Rhino Tutorial 5.3 [grids]

“Working with grids & grid snaps”

  1. Begin with a new or existing Rhinoceros model.
  2. Click on the Snap button at the bottom of the page to turn on grid snap. Your cursor will now snap to points on the grid.
  3. To edit the grid (and snap) settings, simply right click on the Snap button.
  4. The “Document Properties” dialog box will open with the Grid options displayed.
  5. You can apply grid changes to the current viewport only or to all viewports by selecting the appropriate check box.
  6. You can also adjust the extents (size) of the grid and the frequency of major and minor grid lines.
  7. Finally, you can adjust the snap spacing.
  8. After making adjustments, click “ok.”
