Adaptation of The Roman Ruins of Can Tacó – Exercise 101- Madison Brenner

Architect Toni Gironès Saderra has adapted the archaeological site of Can Taco, a set of Roman ruins located in Barcelona, Spain. This once highly fragmented area needed to have some projected areas to create architectural interest where the original architecture once stood. The architects of this adaptation claim their work on the site highlights the space, however, the concept of adding to ancient architecture is still viewed as controversial.
