This photo was taken on the bank of Hercules last weekend while my friend was playing her DJI drone. In order to make the main structure, the beacon, to in a better position, the first step I did was to crop and rotate that into following the Rule of third. Then I started using some technique such as levels and curves, to make the contrast. As we can see blue is the main color of the picture, then the green, but none of them is rich enough in the original one, so I used Channel Mixer to pop them into a color that makes me feel good and comfortable. Meanwhile, this move made the beacon darker, not bright enough to attract people's eyes, so the Dodge tool was used on the shadow of the beacon and the Burn was used on the mountains (the trees) to try to point the beacon out.
