Exercise 101 – Daniel Chavez

Ashen Cabin

Ashen Cabin is a cabin designed by HANNAH office and photographed by Andy Chen and Reuben Chen. HANNAH office designed and constructed this cabin in upstate New York. The underlying goal for this cabin was to combat the current environmental crisis. One unique feature of this cabin was the use of 3D-printed concrete and repurposed a robotic arm that was previously used for General Motors. The robotic arm was reprogrammed and used for shape woof for structural and design purposes.

  1. I like the overall organic shape of the cabin. Its good to know that they considered how they would create materials and construct the space while leaving little C02 footprint as possible.
