Graceful Giant – EXERCISE 103

One of my favorite photos ever taken, aquatic creatures have a special place in my heart because the ocean is a magical and majestic place and this photograph captures that essence. The structural composition has the rule of thirds and almost a perfect radial which makes the photo look good. But this photo is more than "good" because it captures a moment that can be perceived as a motion because of the leading lines of the fish that curve into the whale shark and with the fish they also create a sense of the depth of field of the ocean making the photo feel alive.

  1. Hey Elena,
I can see why this is one of your favorite photos. The orientation of everything in the image makes it seem in-motion. It was a perfectly timed shot and the photographer was lucky to have taken it.
