MasterCard Drops Name From Brand Mark
MasterCard drops its name from its infamous red and yellow interlocking circles brand mark. Raja Rajamannar, chief marketing and communication officer at MasterCard said that "Reinvention in the digital age calls for modern simplicity." Michael Beirut of Pentagram also added, "We live in a time where, increasingly, we communicate not through words but through icons and symbols." This brand mark evolution is a big step for the company as it shows that they are now part of the elite cadre of brands that are represented not by name, but by symbol.
