- In a new AutoCAD file, type units or navigate to Format>Units...
- In the dialog box that pops up, specify your desired units. For architecture projects, you will likely select “Architectural” with an angle type of “Decimal Degrees”
- Note: For buildings, a precision of 0’-0 1/16” is appropriate. If you were designing something that needed more accuracy, you can change (decrease) this value. I would not recommend increasing this value.
