Rhino 5.10 [sweep]

  1. Begin with a new or existing Rhinoceros model.
  2. For this command, you need two polylines/curves. One curve should define the cross section of the object you wish to create and the other should be the “rail” that you want to have the cross-section follow.
  3. Select Surface>Sweep 1 Rail (sweep1)
  4. You will now need to click on the rail curve.
  5. You can now pick the cross section (defining) curve(s) and hit enter/return.
  6. You will see the “Sweep 1 Rail Options” dialog box (shown below). From here, you can specify the style used by the sweep. “Freeform” is generally the best default, but depending on your cross section curve you may have better results with another option. “Do not simplify” will give you the smoothest curve. You can also rebuild the sweep with a specified number of control points which will result in a more angular shape.[Premium Content - Login] [Membership Options]
