“Working with the Offset command”

  1. Begin with a new or existing Rhinoceros model.
  2. Select the object you wish to offset.
  3. Now (if the object is a curve) select Curve>Offset Curve... or (if the object is a surface) Surface>Offset Surface... Alternatively, you can just type “offset” into the command line.
  4. Now look at your command line, you will see several options. Type “D” to adjust the distance of the offset. Type “C” for corner options. Type “B” to offset to both sides.
  5. After adjusting these settings, select the side of the object to which you want to create the offset object and click. You will now have a new object the specified distance from the first object.[Premium Content - Login] [Membership Options]
